WATERBLASTER / INDUSTRIAL CLEANER
Specialised Industrial Solutions (SIS) are a well-established locally owned and operated company in Mount Isa, servicing regional QLD and NT. Originally providing abrasive blasting and protective coating applications, our continuous success and the growing demand for our expertise has led us to expand into a complete range of industrial services including Ultra High Pressure Water Jetting (UHPWJ), drain and tank cleaning, vacuum truck and tilt tray services.
We are currently seeking a full-time Water Blaster / Industrial Cleaner to join our team.
Experience
• Must have at least two year of full-time work experience as a Water Blaster
• Must have a background in industrial cleaning
Key Duties:
• High-pressure water blasting or hydro blasting; to remove rust, grease, existing coatings, and rubber linings on steel and concrete substrates.
• Vacuum loading; extracting ‘wet’ materials including sludge, heavy solids and septic waste and ‘dry’ products garnet, concrete, dirt, and other dry deposits.
• Abrasive blasting: wet and dry, high pressure blasting of abrasive material or ‘blast media’ against a surface to remove old surface coatings; shape a surface, smooth a rough surface or conversely, roughen a smooth surface.
• Cleaning and carrying out minor repairs of heavy machinery.
• General site clean
• Following safety procedures
• Wearing appropriate PPE
• Provide details of the chemicals / cleaning products that are used to our clients
The salary offered for this position is $73,150 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation.
Applicants who have completed certificates in operating a vacuum loading system or water jetting will be looked at favourably.
