About the role
Seeking to appoint a motivated Payroll Officer to support our busy function in processing the fortnightly payroll in a timely and efficient manner. Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, you will enjoy a flexible hybrid working arrangement and this role can be based in either Newcastle or Melbourne. You are someone that likes to learn and grow within your role with support from an experienced collaborative team. Duties include but not limited to:
Daily communication with payroll stakeholders, assist with daily enquiries
Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and on time
Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
Analyse and process timesheets for multiple locations
Understand taxation of employer paid benefits and PAYG
Managing new starters and terminations
Generating fortnightly and monthly financial reporting
