A well-established transport operator in Geraldton, Western Australia, has a fulltime position available in their workshop for an experienced Diesel Mechanic.
Duties include mechanical servicing, maintenance and repairs to trucks and light vehicles in accordance with manufacturers specifications and workshop procedures.
The position suits an experienced trade qualified Diesel Mechanic with experience carrying out general servicing and maintenance, trouble shooting, diagnostics and repairs to trucks, light vehicles and trailers in a busy transport workshop, and breakdown repairs. Additionally, you need strong organisation, good time management and effective communications skills, and record keeping skills. Welding, fabrication and tyre changing skills are necessary, and a truck licence is advantageous.
For variety, every 3 weeks you will spend a couple of days servicing trucks and trailers based on site at Newman with transport, accommodation and food provided in camp while away.
