OVERVIEW:
Set Joinery QLD, a leading custom cabinetry and joinery specialist in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, is seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team. The successful candidate will be involved in designing, manufacturing, and installing high-quality custom cabinetry for residential and commercial projects. Our focus is on delivering creative, functional, and durable cabinetry solutions that reflect our clients’ visions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and Construction: Interpret client specifications, design plans, and blueprints to manufacture custom cabinets, wardrobes, vanities, kitchen cabinets, and other joinery items using high-quality materials and hardware.
Material Selection and Preparation: Work with a variety of materials (e.g., wood, laminate, and veneers) to craft cabinetry pieces, ensuring the selection of the most suitable materials based on project requirements.
Manufacturing: Operate and maintain woodworking machinery and tools to cut, shape, assemble, and finish cabinet components with precision and attention to detail.
Installation: Install cabinetry and joinery in various settings (residential, commercial, and office spaces), ensuring a perfect fit and seamless finish. Coordinate installation timelines and ensure efficient on-site setup.
Quality Control: Maintain a high standard of craftsmanship, ensuring that all cabinetry and joinery work meets Set Joinery’s quality standards and client expectations.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve design or construction challenges promptly, ensuring project specifications are met within budget and time constraints.
Collaboration: Work closely with clients, designers, and project managers to ensure that all aspects of the job align with the client’s vision and requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
Minimum AQF Certificate III in Cabinet Making or a related field is required.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a cabinetmaker or in a related field, with proven experience in custom cabinetry construction and installation.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Skilled in using woodworking tools, machinery, and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
Knowledge of a range of materials, finishes, and hardware.
Ability to ensure precision in measurements, cuts, and installations, maintaining high-quality standards throughout the process.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve construction issues on-site.
Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
Experience in custom cabinetry for residential and commercial projects.
