About the business
Territory Rent a Car Pty Ltd operate the Thrifty Car Rental franchise in the Northern Territory with locations in Darwin, Katherine, Tennant Creek, Alice Springs and Yulara and have been in business for over 35 years. Our rental fleet consists of small, medium and large sedans and SUV's, four wheel drives, buses, vans and trucks.
We have a vacancy for a Retail Supervisor with a start date of early October.
Duties and Responsibilities will include
- Support the Branch Manager in regards to operations, staffing, training and customer service
- Providing customers with a high level of service and sales support
- Provide leadership and guidance to all car rental staff
- Develop strong relationships with repeat customers
- Manage and resolve customer queries and complaints
- Run shifts as required, including opening and closing the location, managing payments and ensuring the safety of the shop
- Manage rostering and leave requirements appropriately
- Continuously build and keep updated knowledge on our fleet vehicles and the services we offer
- Achieve a standard of excellence in our work processes and outcomes, ensuring adherence to company policies
- Promote, implement and comply with health and safety procedures
Skills and Experience
- Outstanding customer service and sales support
- Ability to lead a team with a effective communication and staff management skills
- Highly motivated individual with a great work ethic and attention to detail
- Time management skills with the ability to multi task
- Determination, passion and drive for results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to construct a professional email
The business operates 7 days a week, the Retail Supervisor position is 76 hours per fortnight which the roster will include some weekend work.
The hourly base rate for ordinary hours worked Monday to Friday is $30.43 with penalties and overtime based on the General Retail Industry Award Level 4 rate.
