POSITION OVERVIEW:
Ben Scissorhands is seeking a skilled and experienced Hairdresser to join our professional team. The successful candidate will provide a range of hairdressing services to meet the needs and preferences of our diverse clientele. As a Hairdresser, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality haircuts, styling, colouring, and treatments while ensuring client satisfaction through excellent customer service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Consult with clients to determine their hair care needs and desired outcomes.
Perform haircuts for men, women, and children using various techniques such as trimming, cutting, and texturizing.
Style hair according to client preferences using tools like blow dryers, straighteners, and curlers.
Provide colouring services, including highlights, lowlights, and full-color treatments, ensuring safe application of products.
Offer hair treatments such as deep conditioning, scalp treatments, and hair masks to maintain hair health.
Maintain tools and equipment in compliance with health and safety standards, ensuring they are sanitized and in working order.
Advise clients on appropriate at-home hair care products and techniques to maintain hair health between appointments.
Keep up with the latest trends in hairdressing, styling, and colouring to offer clients the most current techniques and looks.
Assist with reception duties as required, including scheduling appointments and handling client inquiries.
REQUIREMENTS:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
AQF Certificate III in Hairdressing or a relevant field is essential.
2-3 years of experience working as a Hairdresser or in a related role.
Proven ability to provide excellent haircuts and styling services to a range of clientele.
Strong understanding of various hair coloring techniques and hair treatment applications.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to consult effectively with clients to meet their expectations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and a high level of customer service.
Knowledge of current hair trends, tools, and products.
