Coates are looking for a skilled Temporary Works Engineer to join them at their Ingleburn, NSW location on a full-time basis.
The Temporary Works Engineer is responsible for supporting the customer and/or stakeholders in delivering Temporary Works Solutions for our customers on their construction sites. The role includes understanding our clients’ needs to develop safe, efficient, cost-effective solutions. General duties include customer/stakeholder liaison, information gathering, analysing of information, advising, conceptualising solutions, generating design requests, quoting, presenting solutions & capabilities, delivering toolbox talks, coordinating projects, dealing with variations, resolving issues, managing pipelines & site engineering activities.
The Temporary Works Engineer is responsible for supporting the design and development of safe and cost-effective temporary works solutions within shoring & structural propping. The role is also responsible for consulting with all stakeholders with the aim of not only developing & presenting the Temporary Works Solution, but also supporting the delivery of the solution across commercial, design, site operations, & compliance aspects. A key focus of the role is continually maintaining knowledge of current solutions, products, and technology within the market.
Professional Experience Required:
The individual will have the following experience:
• 2 Years or more post graduate experience
• 2 Years or more in a similar role
Qualifications and Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Strong solutions design and client / customer skills
• Advanced critical thinking skills
• Ability to create, manage and prioritise temporary works proposals to a high level
• Proficiency in developing cost-effective solutions for highly complex temporary works requirements.
• Knowledge of a broad range of civil and construction applications for temporary works
• Advanced knowledge of temporary works products commonly used in industry
• Detailed knowledge of the temporary works engineering industry
• Deep understanding of temporary works staging and interaction with permanent works
• Knowledge of piling design & methods
• Knowledge of excavation shoring design & methods.
