Fix Auto Darwin is a growing Automotive Crash Repairer looking for a trustworthy, self-motivated Panel Beater for an immediate start. The successful applicant will be required to perform skilled tasks in the repair and maintenance of vehicles, restore damaged vehicles to their original structural integrity, function, and appearance while maintaining a safe work environment at all times. We are looking for someone who is dependable and willing to work as part of a team to ensure maximum efficiency in our workshop. Proficient Time Management and Communication skills are a must.
Qualifications & experience
* 5-7 years of experience as a Panel Beater preferred, with proven abilities in automotive body repairs
* Possess a valid Driver's Licence
* Ability to work independently in a busy environment
* Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
* Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
* Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
* Knowledge and prior use of the iBodyshop system beneficial
Tasks & responsibilities
* Dismantling and repairing damaged vehicles to a pre-collision standard in an efficient, skillful and timely manner
* Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components as per manufacturer’s specifications
* Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
* Repair or replace interior components as required
* Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure the achievement of quality standards in repairs in order to reduce and eliminate re-work and warranty claims
* Review job cards, parts and report items and plan work to be performed
* Work effectively with the Office and Paint Shop staff to ensure customer's vehicles are repaired to a high standard and within the allowed timeframe as required
* Physical ability to lift up to 40kg and work well under pressure
Salary: $40 – $55 per hour pending experience (negotiable)
