Position: Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson

Premium Glass WA is a leading glazing company specialising in design, supply and installation for residential and commercial projects. We are now seeking a Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson to join our team on a permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will have at least a relevant Australian Diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience in the same role, organisation skills, and good communication skills.
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Preparing fabrication, details, assembly and installation drawings of components concerning metal fences, screens and balustrades and glass screens and balustrades for both residential and commercial projects;
- Selecting the type of equipment (screws, fixings, chemical anchors, etc.) and tools necessary for the assembly and installation of the various projects;
- Assisting the project manager and installers in the design and improvement of hardware and tools;
- Estimating material costs and quantities concerning glass and mechanical hardware;
- Data collection and analysis to optimise material quantities and to reduce costs in future projects;
- Ensuring that the design, fabrication and finished work follow the proper specifications, Australian Standards and contract provisions.
