Job Title: Full-time Chef
Salary: $73,150 Gross Per Annum plus superannuation
Duties and Skills
• Preparing and cooking meals, and supervising the preparation of meals by kitchen staff
• Seasoning & portioning a variety of dish and carving and trimming foods to ready them for
• different dishes.
• Monitoring quality of dishes during preparation
• Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
• Leading, guiding and inspiring the kitchen team to deliver the best results
• Managing kitchen consumables, stock takes, ordering, cost control and budgeting
• Develop, test, and introduce new menu items as per seasonal produce
• Estimating/managing food costs
• Coordinating with Head Chef in planning of the menu items
• Ensuring the workplace is clean and hygiene and always meet the standards
• Compliance with OH&S and Food Safety standards
• Work alongside the management team
• supervising and guiding junior kitchen staff
• Coordinating and managing the orders of the stock as required
Job Requirements
• Relevant certificate level of course is advantage.
• Have minimum 3 years of professional experience or more.
• Are available across the working week including weekends and nights.
• Offer proven ability to prioritise, set goals and have the determination to achieve them.
• Possess a thorough understanding of food safety and HACCP.
• Passion for developing innovative menu items.
• Strict compliance towards food safety.
