WHF Group are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Painting Trades Worker to join their team in Paget QLD 4740.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
- Surface preparation of steel for painting, safely using chemicals and a range of hand tools
-Clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents, or otherwise prepare fabricated steel items for application of paint and or other protective coatings.
- Operate various equipment, such as blast pots and spray guns.
- Knowledge of various painting methods and applications
- Sandblasting, abrasive and chemical techniques, masking and etching of applications.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprint, sketches, and drawings.
- Safe operation of tools and equipment
- Grinding, sanding, and polishing of steel.
- Understanding of painting, caulking, and sealing and putting them into practice
- Ability to apply all types of coatings using various application methods.
Skills & Abilities:
- Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application or relevant
- Ideally have 3 years’ experience within relevant or similar field
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience.
