EME Design Pty Ltd are currently seeking an experienced Architectural Draftsperson to join their team in Collingwood, Melbourne in a full time role.
The role will involve working architectural projects as directed by the Senior Designer including design, contract documentation and some contract administration duties, and providing expert training and support for REVIT BIM software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on architectural projects within the EME Design office including client liaison, design, contract documentation and some contract administration.
- Assist the Manager in the day-to-day operations of the EME Design office.
- Take responsibility for time management of assigned jobs. Keep an accurate daily record of the time spent on each assigned job.
- Attend and contribute to office meetings and provide reports to the Manager on a regular basis regarding the progress of individual projects under their responsibility.
- Assist in the maintenance of office systems including updating of the library and filing systems.
- Ensure the safety of yourself, other staff, clients and visitors at all times.
Person Specifications:
- Proficient in creating and documenting town planning drawings.
- Skilled in analysing and contributing to all project phases.
- Capable of producing detailed design drawings.
- Methodical in note-taking and document organisation.
- Efficient in meeting deadlines.
- Strong communicator and collaborator.
- Proactive and skilled in managing expectations.
- Flexible, punctual, and an excellent problem-solver.
- Committed to the EME ethos and practical application.
Applicants must hold a relevant Architectural Draftsperson qualification and have at least 2 years' professional experience in a similar role, ideally working with a range of architectural projects, from residential to community development.
Applicants will also have:
- Experience in the areas of contract documentation.
- Sound technical knowledge of architectural project delivery.
- Demonstrable skills in the areas of design, presentation and technical skills.
- Proficiency with Revit and the BIM system, including Naviswork.
- Expertise with AutoCAD, Lumion, Sketchup - Design Ph.
- Competency with Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Suite.
- Computer literacy using Microsoft Office products.
A salary of $75,000 plus superannuation will be offered to the successful candidate.
