Afterpay is looking for a Creative Leader to join the Afterpay Brand Creative team in Australia. The AP Brand Creative team is responsible for bringing imaginative work to life while building awareness for our brand and products. The team consists of creatives and producers who translate GTM strategy into powerful and purposeful creative that inspires and equips customers to live better financial lives using Afterpay.
As the Creative Leader, you will oversee the development of exceptional creative responses for key projects, including brand campaigns, product marketing, sales campaigns, and consumer campaigns with top retailers. The team handles both consumer-led and B2B initiatives, delivering outstanding results across multiple mediums such as ATL, CRM, VM, partnerships, sponsorships, digital marketing, website development, social media, content creation, and more.
You will empower agency partners and embedded creatives across AU, NZ, UK, and CA to execute high-quality work while ensuring exceptional brand consistency across all touchpoints. As a passionate storyteller and hands-on leader, you will craft marketing narratives that put our customers at the center and articulate the relevance and practical application of our customer value proposition at scale.
In this role, you’ll also mentor and manage a creative team, fostering collaboration across Afterpay to launch creative experiences that drive our mission, business, and brand forward. Reporting to the Head of Creative, Cash App (Brand & Integrated Marketing) based in NYC, you’ll support the Brand Creative team and partner with the INT Marketing and Trade team while managing a team of Creative Directors, designers, and writers.
You will
- Manage and/or influence creative direction for all INT marketing / Trade campaigns
- Translate GTM strategy into powerful and purposeful creative that inspires customers and deepens understanding
- Collaborate with global peers to establish cohesive brand aesthetics and creative direction across external platforms
- Work with writers to develop language that is clear and effective
- Set and meet deadlines for various projects; oversee creative from agencies
- Evaluate trends, assess new data and keep up-to-date with marketing techniques
- Build and manage a team of talented creatives while fostering an inclusive design community
- Collaborate with creative leadership to establish brand aesthetics and creative direction
