Our client, K&P Sidhu Investment Pty Ltd is actively looking for an Accountant to join its team on a full-time basis to be placed at their office in Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450. The business offers efficient and safe transportation services for goods and cargo. Their fleet of modern vehicles and experienced drivers ensure timely deliveries to businesses across Australia. They are looking for an Accountant to manage the financial operations of the business.
Main Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business decisions.
3. Cost Control: Analyse and manage costs associated with fuel, maintenance, labor, and other expenses.
4. Asset Management: Oversee the financial aspects of vehicle maintenance, depreciation, and disposal.
5. Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
6. Auditing: Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
7. Financial Analysis: Provide insights and recommendations to management on financial performance and business opportunities.
8. Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage and optimize cash flow, including invoicing, payments, and credit control.
9. Tax Planning: Minimize tax liabilities and ensure timely tax compliance.
10. Financial Planning: Support strategic business decisions with financial modelling and scenario planning.
Must Have
• Bachelors of Business/Accountancy
• At least 2 years of Australian experience as an Accountant
Skills Needed:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks)
• Knowledge of transportation industry regulations and laws
Successful candidate would be paid a base salary between A$ 70,000 to 80,000 plus Superannuation.
