Electrical Engineer
Salary $73k - $83k pa

As an Engineer you will be responsible for technical engineering design, specifications and other technical data/information for projects. You will work autonomously and together with a Senior Engineer to deliver the required detailed design and documentation for a given project. Assist other members of the team, troubleshooting and support, being a key contributor to the discipline team and the entire business.
GENERAL DUTIES
• Liaison with Clients, Architects, Consultants and relevant Authorities
• Project Management
• Attend design, coordination and construction meetings, Site Reviews and Inspections
• Electrical Budgets, Demand Calculations
• Review of Shop Drawings, Sketches
• Creation of Specification Documentation
• Cable sizing, Schematics, Switchboard spatials
• Electrical Infrastructure, lighting and power design
• Lighting Power density calculations
• Comms layout, infrastructure, phone and data systems
• Fire Detection systems
• Emergency warning and intercommunications system and occupant warning system
• MATV, Audio Visual, Public Address, Lightning protection, Nurse Call and CCTV systems
• NBN and associated ISP Connectivity services
• Fault finding and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of designing in AutoCAD and REVIT
• Keep up to date with current Australian Standards and Building Code of Australia revisions.
• Keep up to date with current products on the market by attending product launches and meeting with
• suppliers and updating the JBA supplier library.
• Fee Proposal Costings of Tender Requests

• ISO Integrated Management System JBA utilises the International Standards of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 in an Integrated Management System to manage and control the organisation. The IMS sets out the way in which the organisation operates and ensures control, compliance and recording of various activities and processes. All Team Members are required to follow and adhere to the Policies, Procedures and Requirements of the IMS and also other Policies and Procedures of JBA.
• Applicable Legislation, Licensing and Regulatory Requirements As an engineering firm, JBA and its Team Members are responsible for ensuring a level of Professional Conduct and adherence to applicable, Standards, Codes and Legislative requirements. All team members, as technical experts and/or technical team members are required to understand and fulfil their specific technical regulatory requirements and activities.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• A recognised Engineering degree
• Circa 2 - 5 years + experience working as an Engineer within a consulting environment and a similar environment
• Experience in building services electrical design with comprehensive knowledge of local building codes and standards
• Exposure to a variety of building projects with experience in developing business, leading teams and delivering medium to large scale projects
• Polished presentation with strong client liaison, negotiation, management, leadership and communication skills
• Excellent Verbal and Written communication.
• Strong Project management skills
• Key knowledge of Australian Standards and NCC/BCA
