On behalf of our client, Clough Projects Pty ltd, we are hiring Intermediate to Advanced Riggers. This role will be based on site as part of the Clough Waitsia Gas Project Stage 2 in Karratha, WA. A Rigger will be responsible for the preparation, assembly, installation and completion of structural steel assemblies including assistance with the installation with heavy mechanical equipment and site infrastructure.
Tasks & Duties:
· Install and operate rigging equipment such as chain blocks, slings, pulleys and winches to lift lower, move or position machinery, spools, structural steel and other heavy objects.
· Assess objects to be moved, estimate their size, shape and weight and verify the type of rigging equipment necessary to lift the object safely.
· Inspect and maintain rigging equipment
· Read, interpret and follow lift plans and procedures.
· Direct crane movements in a safe and appropriate manner.
· Complete bolted connections as per the specifications required by the project.
· Prepare and scabble foundations prior to installation of structures.
· Other duties as directed
Skills and Experience:
· Intermediate - Minimum 3 years construction-based experience
· Advanced - Minimum 5 years construction-based experience
· Experience working on large scale construction sites
· Experienced in reading and interpreting lift plans and drawings
· Experienced in all aspects of mechanical rigging
· Experienced in the installation of piping, spools, pumps, motors and valves
· Proficient and comfortable to work safely at heights
· Knowledgeable performing, implementing and following risk assessments
· Experience working under Permit to Work Systems and adhering to Permit to Work conditions
· Ability to use tools and equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
· Desirable
· Experience working in a cross-cultural environment
· Innovative and practical approach to problem solving
· Time management skills
Qualifications:

· High Risk Work License – RI/RA
· Construction White/Blue Card

Salary: $93,000 to $98,000 per annum
