About the Position
We are actively seeking an experienced Bench Assistant / Blast Crew to work a 7/7 day shift only roster in the Blackwater region.
In this role, you will report to our Site Supervisor and be supported by a friendly crew of 18 at the Jellinbah mine site.
Core accountabilities include:
- Carry out loading explosives and priming of blast holes
- Dipping of blast holes and recording of information accurately
- Delineation of active blast loading areas
- Safe and efficient operation of duties
- Carry out pre-starts on equipment
- Regularly carry out workplace Take 5?s
- Conduct bulk product quality tests as required
- Attend toolbox discussions
- Contribute to a respectful and inclusive work environment
