About the position
Due to an internal promotion in our business, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at the Jellinbah open cut coal mine.
We are actively seeking a Leading Hand to work a 7/7 day shift only roster.
Core accountabilities include:
- Act as a senior member and mentor of the team
- Safe and efficient operation of our Mobile Processing Units (MPUs)
- Safe and efficient surface shotfiring operations
- Identify and plan opportunities for improvement
- Carry out pre-starts
- Regularly carry out workplace Take 5?s
- Attend toolbox discussions, and lead as required
- Relief supervisor duties as required
- Contribute to a respectful and inclusive work environment
About you ? Demonstrated leadership skills
? Experience in operating MPU?s and shotfiring operations in an open cut environment essential
? Extensive experience working in the drill & blast industry
