Restaurant Manager
We are looking for a Restaurant Manager for our busy restaurant in Sydney CBD. We are offering and comprehensive package for the right candidate.
• Permanent full time position
• 38 hours per week
• $70,000 to $80,000 per year + superannuation
• City location, close to public transport
The Restaurant Manager will report to the Directors of the business and will be responsible for day to day running of the restaurant including:
• Responsible for hiring staff and ensuring compliance with any visa restrictions;
• Planning all rostering for Ipoh on York and all group companies;
• Planning and organising special functions;
• Liaise with Chef/Cook to determine menus;
• Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget;
• Plan and implement after-sales services to follow up customer satisfaction, ensure performance of goods purchased, and modify and improve services provided;
• Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions;
• Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance;
• Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service;
• Selecting, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff;
• May take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders;
• Train other front of house and kitchen staff.
The job will be full time, with hours to be worked 38 hour per week. Please note that your day/ hours of work maybe varied to meet the business requirements
Successful applicants must have:
• Candidates must have good attitude and not afraid of challenges.
• Good knowledge in Malaysian Food and ability to speak English, Bahasa Malaysia or Indonesian as well as Mandarin
• Must have 2-3 years relevant full-time experience in a café/retail environment, preferably food retail
• Excellent communication skills
• Initiative and be highly self-motivated
• Be able to work in a fast paced environment
• An understanding of the sales process and working to sales targets
• A passion for great Malaysian food, quality and excellent service
• Degree/ Diploma in Customer Service and/or Hospitality and/or Business Administration field
