Position Overview:
As part of your role, you will be placed with a team matching your experience and skills, reporting to a Foreman and will work together on one of the projects currently being undertaken.
You must be willing to work away as this role will predominately be based in the Bowen Basin, with camp provided by the company.
Salary:
Annual Salary - $45.00 Per hour working a minimum of 38 hours per week or as required to fulfil project requirements.
Main Tasks
•preparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper
•fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks
•smoothing and sealing surfaces
•selecting and preparing paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives
•applying paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers, and sprays
•hanging wallpaper, matching patterns, and trimming edges
•cleaning equipment and work areas
•laying drop sheets and protective items to prevent paint splatter.

Qualifications / Certifications
•Construction Industry White Card
•Standard 11 Induction Certification
•Current Coal Board Medial
•Current Open Drivers Licence
•Certificate III in Painting
Skills and experience
•At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
•Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques
•Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.).
•Conscientious with great attention to detail
•Industry experience with high focus on safe work processes
•Reliable and adaptable to site requirements
•Operate in a timely manner to meet deadlines and specifications.
•Effectively communicate with management, supervisors, and co-workers
•Be able to work cohesively in a team environment and work unsupervised.
•Good knowledge of current WHS & Australian Standards (AS3500) with a solid safety record
