Business Development Manager

The Role

Representing leading brands in the Independent Grocery space working across Warrnambool, Portland, Terang and surrounds you will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with stores and multi-site operators (MSO’s) to drive distribution and sales to increase market share and category performance iconic brands using opportunity-based selling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Growing product distribution
  • Negotiation of greater shelf space in store to leverage market share
  • Maximising upcoming and current promotional activity
  • Driving sales results
  • Develop strong store relationships
  • Implementation of POGs
  • Reporting and providing feedback on key field insights and activity.

Key selection criteria:

  • Relevant experience in field based Sales or Merchandising role
  • FMCG grocery experience is highly favourable but not essential 
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent time management skills and a positive attitude
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Valid driver license
