The Purpose:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Product Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in driving the further development and optimization of our PayID and International Payments Service (IPS) products, ensuring that it meets the continuous needs of our users and aligns with our company’s strategic goals.
As a Product Analyst for PayID and IPS, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data, interpreting market research, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, payment operations, fraud management and marketing teams. Your insights will help inform product enhancements and support decision-making processes. You will utilize data visualization tools to communicate findings effectively and will be involved in developing metrics to measure the product's performance. Primary Accountabilities, Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyse, and interpret data related to PayID and IPS usage, user behaviour, and market trends.
- Analyse Participant banks’ feedback to better understand business and operational impacts of the products in market.
- Understand the operational and lower-level technical aspects of the products to determine if the application of operational processes is fit for purpose.
- Develop and maintain key metrics and dashboards to track product performance and present insightful reports to stakeholders.
- Determine ways to improve performance through guidance, rule changes and best practices to ensure industry alignment.
- Analyse market research to inform product strategy and initiatives.
- Apply abstract reasoning to complex problems and devise creative solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, payment operations and commercial to align product development with business goals.
- Create and maintain an up-to-date product backlog.
- Assist in prioritising features and enhancements based on user feedback and analytics.
Key Competencies and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Data Analysis, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a product analyst or a similar role in the payments or fintech industry.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data interpretation and visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of payment technologies and digital payment systems.
- Exposure in product management methodologies and tools.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Experience with user experience (UX) research methods and tools is a plus.
