About us
We are an NDIS registered business that delivers specialist therapy services to participants under their NDIS plan, including Positive Behaviour Support Early Intervention. We deliver throughout Perth Metro and parts of regional Western Australia.
We are currently seeking a Disabilities Services Officer to join our team working in a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner role.
This position will be based in Canning Vale, Perth with travel as required.
Professional development opportunities are available, and growth with the business.
Working from home for agreed times can be discussed. However, a good face-to-face team & support environment is not negotiable.
Qualifications & experience:
- Relevant Qualification in an Allied Health background or Behavioural Science.
- Board certified Behaviour Analyst or over 2 years experience in delivering Positive Behaviour Support.
- Demonstrated experience working with complex needs and challenging behaviours. This is necessary.
- Working with Children's card, National police clearance and current driving license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of the NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission.
Tasks & responsibilities may include:
- Complete indirect and direct assessment including observations and data collection and collate the data for the development of behaviour support plans and functional behavioural assessment.
- Support NDIS participants with disability, their carers, family and significant others.
- Provide training and support in interventions and strategies outlined in the behaviour support plans, which may involve fade out plans for restrictive practices.
- Work within the community to collaborate with outside services and providers as needed to assist in solving individuals problems
- Support the participant to meet their person centered goals by interviewing, reporting, and keeping up to date on their progress
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to lead a team and support other core practitioners.
