Roccella Italian Restaurant is now looking for an experienced Chef to join their team.
The right candidate will be responsible for:
Monitoring temperature of raw and cooked food to avoid any hazard;
Ensuring that junior chefs and trainees receive the right training and optimum guidance;
Train new members for platings and cooking procedures;
Respect the hygiene requirements including managing service for customers with allergies;
Serve and present food up to the required standards;
Coordinate timing with the other sections during service;
Supervising kitchen team members;
Prepare and cook high quality food according to menu guidelines and recipes;
Cooking a variety of dishes from the menu;
Wash, cut and slice vegetables and fruit for meal preparations
Slice, cut, season and cook fish, steaks, burgers and other types of meat;
Making pasta and sauces from scratches;
About you:
At least 2 years of experience as a Chef;
Strong cooking and management skills;
Ability to work unsupervised and for extended periods of time;
Strong communication skills;
Ability to manage food orders and own section;
Job type: Permanent/full-time
Salary: $70,000 - $85,000
