The Opportunity
We're looking for a results-driven and experience focused Senior Business and Data Analyst with a successful track record to join and manage our Melbourne based Data Analytics team full time.
Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for building world class solutions to our business problems through the utilisation of data. Given our stage, you will have the opportunity to understand and solve detailed and interesting business problems and you will be expected to design solutions that will form the foundation of our technology platform as we build into the future.
Experience in the FinTech space is ideal and a knowledge of user experience and customer satisfaction is essential.
Your Key Responsibilities
Manage the Data Analytics team’s project timelines and roadmap based on business priorities and urgency of specific business problems to be answered.
Work collaboratively with stakeholders to prioritise and translate business questions into analytical projects and system solutions.
Identify opportunities for business process and technology platform improvement through data - setting targets, understanding drivers, assessing performance, and modelling scenarios.
Design and assess the tools needed to build the overall flow of delivering data insights from sources to users.
Coordinate with data engineer and software developers on data requirements, specifications and documentation as needed by the business.
Design, develop and test data based solutions to answer business problems including Microsoft Power BI dashboards and AWS datamart.
Champion the use of data to derive insights and drive action, ensuring our customers are at the heart of every business decision.
Understand the key growth and financial drivers of our business model and provide recommendations of how best to meet business objectives and the development of our technology platform.
Source data from a variety of sources to combine, synthesise and analyse to generate insights.
Present results back to the business in a structured, data-driven manner - simplifying complex concepts for non-technical audiences and delivering solutions.
About You
Solid experience (minimum 5 years) in Business and Data Analytics role within in the Finance, Tech or Consulting space.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Technology, Data Science or Mathematics. Relevant industry experience may be considered in place of qualifications.
Hands-on technical experience with Power BI, SQL, AWS.
Track record of delivering targeted KPIs in a fast-paced environment
Sound understanding of key business drivers across different departments.
Experience in monitoring customer/user behaviour and financial metrics, and leveraging data to recommend action plans and process improvement.
Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with the ability to use data to inform all decisions.
