We're seeking a talented Leading Hand Operator to help us ensure the efficient and safe operation of machinery, plant, and equipment. The role is designed to be a civil support function that supplements the other activities and projects the business is delivering. It is diverse in nature and covers most elements of Civil from car park formation to boxing out footpaths, bulk civil, final trim, and track works.
We expect this role to be fulfilled by someone who can manage themselves and in the future a small team whilst maintaining the equipment and machinery to a high standard. We will support and assist the right person in developing their skills and qualifications

Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining drainage system across the PTA network.
Work in a small team carrying out a diverse range of civil works
Mentor and guide trades/ trade assistants.
Ability to lead a small team from the front with attention to detail and pride in your work.
Operate and maintain plant and equipment to a high standard.
Primary equipment you will be operating:
Excavators from 1.5t – 20t
Skid Steers with a range of attachments
Tippers
Dozers
Essential Qualifications:
Excavator Ticket
Skid Steer Loader Ticket
HR License with reliable transport.
White Card
National Police Clearance
Ability to pass pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
Essential Experience:
Previous experience as a Plant Operator.
Essential Candidate Attributes:
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
A passion for innovation and improving the client experience.
Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate clients.
Excellent problem-solving, organisation, written, numeracy and communication skills.
Encourages a safe work environment with regards to the safety of self, colleagues, workers and the public.
High level of comprehension and ability to plan and instruct others.
