Painter and Decorator – Clyde North/Officer, VIC
Recruiters Kogan People Solutions are assisting the management of this well-regarded custom home builder as they recruit their new Painter and Decorator (The depot is in Cranbourne West).
About our client:
Specialising in crafting modern and stylish custom homes, our client pays high attention to detail and value client satisfaction. The pipeline of new work is bursting, and they now seek an extra skilled and qualified full-time painter and decorator to join their busy team. Work is mostly concentrated in the Clyde North, and Officer areas, in Melbourne’s Southeast.
Salary: Great salary in the range $70,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation per annum.
Tenure: Full-time and on-going.
To be considered, you need to be able to demonstrate the following attributes and strengths:
• Well experienced in all aspects of the painting trade.
• Excellent communication skills.
• You must be comfortable in a team or working alone and have a clear vehicle license.
Duties will include:
• Painting to the highest standard of workmanship - surface prep, as well as mixing and matching.
• Working with a deep understanding of OHS practices and requirements, apply protective and decorative coats of paint, varnish and/or other related materials to interior and exterior surfaces of buildings and other structures.
• Washing, scraping, sanding and/or smoothing interior and exterior surfaces prior to painting, varnishing or applying other related materials.
• Thoroughly cleaning equipment, paint mixing area and work area.
• Installing, repairing and maintaining all sorts of internal surfaces, walls to ceilings.
• Competently erect and use apparatus (ladders and planks) to work safely at all heights.
• Identification, safe handling and appropriate disposal of paints, stains, preparatory and undercoating materials and other hazardous materials.
• Working with pride!
To successfully apply, you:
• Possess relevant trade certificates to at least Certificate III level plus 2 years supervised working experience, or close equivalent.
• Have a minimum 2 -3 years working experience in the field since you acquired your qualifications.
• Excellent demonstrated team skills, patience, and empathy.
• Are keen to join this firm as a salaried full-time employee, so subcontractor arrangements will not be considered.
• You have unrestricted rights to work in Australia.
