PMT PTY LTD is a proud Australian Precious Metals Refinery currently on the hunt for an experienced Production Manager to join their team.
Based in SE Queensland, this exciting opportunity is a full-time permanent role where you'll be overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Refinery. Reporting to the Directors the successful applicant will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have excellent attention to detail and a passion to deliver quality products. He/she will have a proven track record of working within a precious metal’s refinery.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the refinery:-
• Ensure refining processes are carried out correctly and in accordance with SOPs
• Proactively ensure customers’ needs are satisfied
• Continuous monitoring and adherence to WHS Standards
• Job Scheduling
Ensure output meets quality standards
• Enforce health and safety precautions
• Report to upper management
• Organise workflow to meet targets and deadlines
• Leadership/training of new employees and upskilling of existing employees
• Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel
• Approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc
• Liasing with customers/suppliers
• Leading and contributing to continuous improvement activities across all aspects of the refining/production process and environment
• Ensuring defects and NCRs are minimised through systemised rectification
• Batching Material
• Liaise closely with the Laboratory Manager to ensure analysis of solutions and material is maintained
About you:
• He/She must have at least 10 years’ Experience in Precious Metals Refining.
• Must have a Deep knowledge or Understanding of production management associated with a Precious Metals Refinery
• Understanding of refining process and procedures including Gold,Silver,Platinum and Palladium refining.
• Electrolysis and Electro winning process and chemical waste management
• Smelting and flux management
• Experience in effective scheduling of jobs
• Able to make strategic decisions and influence change
• Safety focused
• Experience in the preparation of batch make up, records and reports
• Energetic, organized, and able to work autonomously
• A good Communicator
• Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
• Attention to detail
• Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
