Our client Gumview Cafe & Corner Store is seeking a full-time Qualified Cook who will prepare their menu and their high standards
When preparing and delivering well-prepared meals, the Qualified Cook must be able to follow directions. He or she needs to be skilled at multitasking and agile when moving around the kitchen. Additionally, they must be qualified for the job to know a variety of ingredients and culinary methods.
The role will be given the following responsibilities and duties:
Verifying the quality of food by inspecting it
Controlling oven, grill, and other cooking equipment temperatures
Making and preparing food
Seasoning food during cooking
Adding gravies, sauces, and garnishes to food after it has been portioned out and placed on plates
Keeping food in facilities with temperature control
Making food that complies with specific dietary criteria
Attends to the detail and presentation of each order
May calculate food requirements and plan menus
May instruct trainees and additional kitchen personnel
Ensuring that the kitchen and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained
The Qualified Cook should ideally be able to function in a hectic setting. Additionally, he or she must be able to prioritise tasks, multitask, and use time effectively. He or she must be able to swiftly memorise difficult or numerous instructions, work well both individually and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 years’ experience
Relevant hospitality qualification is required
Salary: $74,000
