Our valued client The Rowers Pty Ltd is seeking highly skilled and creative Head Chef to join and run day-to-day kitchen operations, lead their kitchen team to produce excellent food and create exceptional dining experience to the customers.
The role includes but is not limited to:
Planning and designing menus
Calculating/estimating food, labour costs, and liaising with suppliers
Directing kitchen operations and managing kitchen staff, including roster preparation
Oversee food preparation ensuring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
Demonstrate techniques and advising on cooking procedures
Preparing and cooking food
Ensure compliance with hygiene and health and safety regulations at all times
Delegating tasks and resolving issues as they arise
May select and train staff
Liaising with the general manager to ensure operations run smoothly
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
Proven experience in a lead role in a high-volume restaurant or bar setting.
Strong culinary and strong problem-solving skills whilst working independently.
Experience in preparation, planning, cost control, inventory management and ordering supplies.
Leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and inspire kitchen staff.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Excellent reporting skills
Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.

Salary: from $80,000 per annum + Super
