We currently require a Metal Machinist 1st Class to join our team.
The metal machinist will be required to manage, diagnose, maintain, overall, repair and service our entire infrastructure with reference to the profiling and tooling equipment used to manufacture our products. This will include the fitting, machining and assembling of fabricated metal parts into products that may be required to support the tooling equipment.
Some of the key responsibilities are:
- Adhere to the Company’s strict Health and Safety requirements at all times and maintain a safe and clean workstation;
- Comply with drawings specifications and use suitable materials, methods and machine settings;
- Correctly set and control machining tools and profiling machines;
- Ensure that metal stock and castings and fabricated and assembled metal parts are accurately machined to fit into our machine and equipment infrastructure;
- Erect and hoist machines and equipment in the fabrication area using correct rigging protocols;
- Fit fabricated metal parts into our machines and equipment;
- Machine to specification hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines;
- Maintenance of extrusion tooling and equipment, setting dies, fine metal polishing and refinishing of equipment.
To be considered you will need:
- A relevant trade qualification and a minimum of two years of relevant post-qualification employment experience;
- Strong organizational skills and disciplined attention to detail and accuracy;
- The ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment and within a team.
This is a full time opportunity. A remuneration package of $75,000 - $85,000 will be offered to the successful applicant. An immediate start is available.
