This full-time position involves consulting with clients to determine their desired hairstyles, performing cuts, color treatments, and styling using advanced techniques and tools. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience and hold a Certificate III in Hairdressing, Barbering, or a related field. They will also be responsible for maintaining hygiene standards, ensuring tools and equipment are clean and sterilized, and offering advice to clients on haircare routines. The role also involves basic administrative duties, such as processing payments and managing appointments when required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Consult with clients to understand their hairdressing needs, preferences, and specifications.
Advise clients on appropriate haircuts, hairstyles, and hair colors based on their physical features and hair type.
Shampoo, condition, and dry clients’ hair before styling or cutting.
Administer various hair coloring treatments, taking into account any possible dye sensitivities or allergies the client may have.
Use hairstyling tools and equipment, such as straighteners, curling irons, rollers, hairdryers, and hot combs, to achieve the desired style.
Clean, sterilize, and maintain all hairdressing tools and equipment in line with state health and safety standards.
Operate the cash register and process client payments when necessary.
REQUIREMENTS:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
Certificate III in Hairdressing, Barbering, or similar
2-3 years of relevant experience
Proficiency in cutting, styling, and coloring hair.
Expertise in using hairdressing tools such as straighteners, curling irons, rollers, and hairdryers.
Knowledge of hair treatments and products.
Ability to consult and advise clients on suitable hairstyles and haircare routines.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
