For the past 20 years, The Rocks has enjoyed the support of its loyal customers and has become a recognized institution for fine food in an exceptional restaurant setting, as well as hosting events and functions. We now seek an experienced Chef to join our team. The Role
Working in a well-established kitchen, your responsibilities will include:
* Menu planning and daily specials
* Checking all food products, including meat, poultry, seafood, vegetables and fruit for quality and freshness
* Stock inventory and ordering as required
* Cooking and preparing meals in accordance with dietary requirements
* Training and supervising trainees or junior staff as required
The ideal candidate will present with:
* Relevant qualifications no less than a Diploma level, plus 2 years full time employment
* Ability and experience working autonomously in a fast-paced commercial kitchen
* Passionate and experience with fine cuisine
* Ability to deliver high quality meals
* Experience planning menus and specials
* Flexibility to work split shifts, including evenings and weekends
* Fully conversant with Health and Safety regulations
