About the Role (Your Why)
The Principal Consultant is responsible for developing and delivering detailed technology solutions through consulting project activities. This role involves guiding our customers to make the right decisions, helping the client to size and define projects for success, and making sure they deliver value.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the development and execution of strategic bids and proposals for data and digital engineering engagements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify client requirements and tailor digital solutions accordingly.
- Conduct market research and analyse industry trends to inform digital strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on digital transformation and innovation.
- Facilitate and lead customer workshops to understand their business needs and goals, design strategic solution options and build a work package.
- Provide technical expertise on digital tools and platforms to support bid and proposal processes.
- Lead bids and proposal delivery, ensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to budget constraints.
- Support with cost estimation for the bids and proposals.
- Mentor and guide team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
What You'll Bring
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 10+ years of experience in an IT consulting role, preferably within a multidisciplinary IT professional services organization, with previous experience supporting bids and proposals in a professional services consulting environment
- Proven track record in designing and implementing successful digital strategies
- In-depth knowledge of digital technologies and platforms relevant to bids and proposals
- Ability to analyse, isolate and interpret business needs and develop appropriate technical solutions.
- Finance management experience, including cost estimation and budget tracking and reporting.
- Proven analytical, consultation, and planning skills.
- Strong ability to converse with both end-users and IT employees at all levels of the business.
- Ability to interact and network with stakeholders across the organisation.
