Position: Motor Mechanic
Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough examinations to identify faults in vehicle engines and components, adapting diagnostic methods for a variety of vehicle customisations.
• Skillfully dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other vital components for detailed inspection and repair.
• Restore and replace worn or defective parts, while reassembling mechanical components with precision, guided by extensive service documentation.
• Execute regular maintenance services to enhance vehicle performance, ensuring all serviced vehicles meet stringent pollution and operational standards.
• Reconstruct engines and mechanical parts post-repair, ensuring they meet the specified criteria for performance and reliability.
• Employ computer-aided diagnostics to fine-tune mechanical parts after repairs, ensuring optimal vehicle performance and compliance with road safety regulations.
• Perform detailed vehicle inspections to draft reports on necessary repairs and actions required for maintaining roadworthiness.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Provide customised solutions for modified vehicles, ensuring modifications comply with legal standards and enhance vehicle performance.
• Stay updated with the latest technological advancements in automotive repair to provide innovative and effective solutions to complex mechanical issues.
Work Hours: This is a full-time position, typically requiring 38 hours per week.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Motor Mechanic.
• AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or an AQF Certificate IV in a relevant mechanical field.
