About the role:

We are looking for a Planning Lead to manage scheduling, planning and reporting for multiple infrastructure development projects. This position will play a crucial role in monitoring project progress, managing project dependencies and providing insights to optimise timelines and enhance the overall development schedule.


Key responsibilities include:

•       Develop and maintain a centralised system for project scheduling, reporting and analytics to provide visibility into project performance across the organisation.

•       Collaborate with construction managers, engineers, project accountants and other stakeholders to gather data including schedules, progress reports and resource utilization and analyse key performance indicators to identify trends, variances and areas for improvement.

•       Conduct regular reviews of project schedules, critical paths and dependencies to assess project risks, optimise resource allocation and mitigate schedule delays and cost overruns.

•       Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing project performance, including schedule adherence, budget utilization and milestone achievements.

•       Utilise advanced scheduling software and data analytics tools to develop predictive models, scenario analyses and simulations to forecast project outcomes and support decision making.

•       Coordinate with project teams to implement schedule adjustments, reallocate resourcing and streamline processes to optimise project delivery and minimse scheduling conflicts.

•       Identify opportunities to standardize scheduling processes, tools and templates across projects to improve efficiency, consistency, and accuracy in project scheduling and reporting.

•       Stay informed of industry trends, best practice and emerging technologies in construction scheduling, reporting and analysis.

•       Provide training, guidance and support to project teams on scheduling software and processes.

•       Embrace and model CDC’s DNA and Leadership Fundamentals.

•       Provide cultural and operational team leadership.

•       Mentor and impart knowledge to junior staff.

•       Other duties as direction from time to time.

 

About you: 

•       Previous experience working in PMO (ideally construction) and demonstrable experience of planning, scheduling, and analytics across complex projects.

•       Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite, Specifically MS Project.

•       Strong stakeholder management skills, ability to communicate effectively across multiple channels and different geographies.

Essential:

• Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain AGSVA Security Clearance at Negative Vetting 1 level.
