Production Manager – Mining
Full-Time
The main function of this position is to ensure deliverables of contracts are monitored and achieved within required timeframes in consultation with the Operations Manager.
The purpose of the role is to assist in the smooth running and management of the company’s HSEQ systems, Procedures and Policies.
The Production Manager will be responsible for:
• Ensuring project deliverables align to contractual and legislative requirements in accordance with the Scope of Works
• Effective and efficient operation of hydro drilling projects
• Monitoring productivity rates, standards and quality control
• Providing timely reports to management
• Liaising with client representatives
• Procurement of and fabrication of specialized equipment and parts
• Implementation of company Policies and Procedures throughout the workforce
• Identification of training needs for site and workshop personnel
• Development of crew rosters and personnel management
• Manage the work in conjunction with other company personnel.
• Maintain a constant awareness of bore conditions and operating constraints that affect operational safety.
• Discuss any deviations to the drilling program when and as required, to protect personnel, environment,
equipment and the well.
• Provides a working environment, which promotes understanding of the drilling discipline in
the training of company personnel.
• Striving to achieve reduced costs and improved operational capabilities through
technological advances where opportunities allow.
Relevant qualifications: Suitable certification or relevant experience
Relevant skills:
Good written and oral communication skills Supervisory skills.
Sound problem solving skills.
Willingness to accept challenges.
Management Skills.
Water well drilling experience desirable.
Relevant experience: 5 years or more experience in mine site, water well drilling in a similar environment.
