Due to ongoing growth, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Account Manager to join our head office located in Melbourne CBD and reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Company Accountant. The Account Manager will be responsible for providing assistance across all areas of the finance and operation departments.
The role is all about having the right attitude and drive, you will be a proactive team player who is keen to grow your career in a friendly, supportive, busy and diverse environment.
Key responsibilities will include the following:
1. Financial Accounting
2. Manage daily cashflow management and reporting
3. Manage daily bank reconciliations to ensure no outstanding entry
4. Working closely with external accountant for monthly BAS, Tax, Super national payroll
5. Tax and compliance reporting
6. Providing on-going financial support to all 4 campuses (Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Adelaide).
7. Develop, implement and monitor appropriate financial systems, procedures and internal controls to support the efficient and effective operation of the Finance function
8. Support the Company Accountant and CEO in overseeing the management of the company's financial resources, including cash flow, investments, and assets
9. Support the Company Accountant and CEO around budgets, spending, reporting and financial accountability
10. Performing ad hoc analysis pro-actively or as directed, to provide performance insights that aid growth and focus appropriate resource allocation
11. Provide financial and analytical support to the Company Accountant.
12. Develop strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effectiveness of communications and resolution of issues.
13. Manage all daily, weekly and monthly management reports (excel based), closely working with Company Accountant.
14. Manage and working closely with Accounts payable team for outstanding bills, invoice payment, contractors payment.
15. Manage all administration charges of non-tuition fees
16. Manage accountant payable for all education agents commission and supplier payment
17. Manage Fortnightly payrolls for all casual, part time, full time and contractor salary payment.
About you:
Ideally you will have come from a strong background from finance and accounts department.
The successful candidate will need to have a tactful and empathetic approach with account management, and have the following:
1. Minimum Two (2) years’ experience in finance and accounting role.
2. Confident personality that enjoys managing and leading teams.
3. High degree of professionalism as you will be handling confidential / sensitive information.
4. Strong communication and relationship building skills.
5. High attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills.
6. Superior competency level of Excel skills (v look ups & pivots)
7. Experience using accounting software such as XERO.
8. Experience using Student Management System
9. Highly developed problem-solving skills.
10. Results focused.
Salary on Offer starting from $ 75,000 - $80, 000 per annum +superannuation.
