Salary: $141,400 plus 11.5% superannuation on the basic salary

Supagas’ state-of-the-art facilities enable the production and distribution of a wide range of gases and gas products, supported by specialised laboratories for mixing and testing specialty gases. As part of this growth, Supagas is seeking a skilled Gas or Petroleum Operator to join their team at the Karratha, WA plant.

As a Gas or Petroleum Operator, you will play a critical role in the daily operations of Supagas' Karratha plant. This position requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in the production, storage, and distribution of gases. The successful candidate will work closely with the plant team to ensure smooth operations while maintaining compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations.
Main Responsibilities
• Operate and monitor gas production equipment, including compressors, pumps, and storage tanks.
• Ensure the safe handling, storage, and transportation of gases in line with industry regulations and company standards.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of gas cylinders and bulk deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records of gas production, storage, and distribution activities.
• Respond promptly to any emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to plant operations.
• Work collaboratively with team members to maintain smooth plant operations.
• Promote a culture of safety by adhering to all health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing queries and concerns professionally.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Relevant qualification at the level of an AQF Certificate III including at least two years of experience or AQF Certificate IV.
• Proven experience of a minimum of two years in the operator profession
• Sound knowledge of Industrial gas properties, pipeline and vessel installations, P&ID`s, regulatory matters, and standards
• Solid understanding of gas production and distribution processes, including safety protocols.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining gas production equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Effective problem-solving skills, particularly in emergency situations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Remuneration Include:
• Base Salary: $121,000 per annum
• Remote Area Allowance: $20,400 per annum
• Superannuation: 11.5 % of the base salary
