Full Time Chef
Salary $73,500 per annum + Superannuation
Reporting to the Head Chef, you will enjoy working in a small but busy team, working 38 hours Wednesday to Sunday plus a dinner service on Fridays with 2 days off per week. No other late finishes, no super early starts.
Responsibilities:
• Producing on trend dishes, using local produce where possible, to enhance the dining experience for our customers.
• Be responsible for managing your own section ensuring all stations remained stocked duration operation period, competent in cooking meat, fish, stocks, sauces, breads, pastries and vegetables to specification during high volume service.
• Creating unique and memorable dining experiences.
• Ensuring a customer experience that makes people want to come back to dine again and again.
• Maintaining safety & hygiene standards of the kitchen & equipment.
• Assist in planning and designing menu in consultation with head chef.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience as a Ala Carte Chef, Junior Sous Chef or Chef de Partie
- Previous experience creating Asian Fusion dishes and innovative menus
- Strong communication skills, be a team player with a hard work ethic
- A friendly, positive customer focused attitude with the drive to provide total customer satisfaction
- Trade qualified
- The ability & flexibility to work weekends as part of the normal working week
- Passion to create unique and memorable dining experiences
- Willingness to learn
