Job Title: Transport Company Manager
Reporting to: General Manager
Salary: AUD $90,000 per annum, plus super
Hours: Full Time Permanent (38 hours per week)
Location: 11 Lorna Court, Mount St. John QLD 4818
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Responsible for organising , controlling , monitoring and coordinating the operation of vehicles for the transportation of goods.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Organising, controlling, monitoring, and coordinating the operation of vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Communicating effectively with clients and responding to their requirements
• Resolving and managing queries and complaints courteously and efficiently
• Devising and putting into place transportation schedules and receiving orders and bookings
• Ensuring that goods are stored and transported in appropriate manner which will keep them in its original condition and quality
• Liaising with Drivers regarding progress of transportation service, ensuring efficient and high-quality service and serve as point of contact for all drivers.
• Coordinating activities associated with the arrival, departure, loading and unloading of transport vehicles
• Managing paperwork associated with contracts and services provided and maintaining accurate administrative records
• Ensuring that all vehicles are regularly inspected and serviced
• Ascertaining that the workplace is safe and free from hazards and as per Occupational Health and Safety standards
ACADEMIC AND TRADE QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum qualification required is AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma level qualification with 2 years mandatory relevant work experience. Three years relevant experience will be considered suitable in place of the above qualification
