- Salary - $73,150 - $75,000

Shelford Constructions Pty Ltd is a large construction company providing residential and commercial construction services across the Perth metropolitan area and the southwest region for over 30 years.
We currently have opportunities for experienced Roof Carpenters to join our team in East Rockingham.
Applicants must have at least 5 years' experience in a similar position.
Applicants will also have:
- Skills in residential construction and remodelling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control and safety
- Good mathematical and analytical skills
- Good oral communication skills
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Effective Time Management skills
Responsibilities include:
- Implement knowledge of residential construction and remodelling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control and safety
- Complete construction, assembly, alteration and renovation of buildings and roof structures for single and multi-storey residential and commercial projects
- Complete roof carpentry works utilising power tools and hand tools in line with safe work processes and required training
- Install and erect roof structures and formwork
- Erecting scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
- Read and interpret various types of construction/architectural plans and specification to complete carpentry works
- Estimate materials required to complete carpentry works to specified budget and timeframes
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment
- Use safe and appropriate means to access for building and construction sites
- Follow established policies and procedures for Protective Personal Equipment
- Assist and mentor apprentice carpenters and junior carpentry team members with basic carpentry works
- Follow safety and environmental practices for handling building products, fluids and waste products
- Follow appropriate safety practices when using ladders, access ways, handrails, barriers, scaffolding, mechanical lifts, other plant and- machinery, and manual handling
- Apply quality, health, safety and environmental policies and procedures commensurate with the role and level of responsibility
This is a full time position working 7.6 hours a day, 5 days a week and the successful applicants will be offered a remuneration between $73,150 - $75,000.
