Facilities and Assets Officer required for permanent role in NFP Your new company Hays Recruitment are looking for an experienced Facilities and Assets Officer for a permanent opportunity at a Not for Profit based in the Perth CBD. Working closely with the Head of Facilities, you will coordinate and oversee the inspection, maintenance and repair of the facilities, and take part in some hands-on repairs. Your new role Your primary responsibilities in this role will be:
Overseeing all aspects of facilities maintenance, including scheduling, inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance activities
Coordinate contractor attendance including monitoring onsite maintenance activities
Undertake building inductions and facility access requests
Work with external suppliers to ensure completion and submission of all job reports and invoicing according to schedule
Attending to minor building maintenance tasks such as minor painting, small handy jobs, and general building maintenance
Contribute to the development of facility management procedures and work instructions
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have:
Demonstrated interpersonal, consultation and negotiation skills
Great stakeholder engagement skills
Current WA Driver's licence
Experience in facilities management or a related field
Knowledge of compliance, regulations and policies governing research, including Australian standards 2243.3 (Safety in Laboratories) and OGTR Compliance, including PC2 laboratories
