Market leader in the construction industry for 39 years. An exciting opportunity has come up for a full time Senior Mechanical Engineer to a construction team here in Melbourne.
About the role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will coordinate and administration construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specifications, interpret designs for implementation in projects, contribute to improvements to existing designs, monitor progress for adherence to program and attend site meetings.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Design mechanical systems effectively and efficiently for commercial construction projects * Use a range of computer programs, design, evaluate and develop mechanical systems for a variety of different projects
Assure system and project quality by researching and testing methods and materials being recommended
Be involved in the Design and Construction process from Value Management through to commissioning
Provide engineering information by answering questions and requests
Maintain product and company reputation by complying with Government and safety regulations
Skills & Experience:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Construction or equivalent
Minimum 5 years' Australian engineering experience
Tier 1 Hospital experience highly desired
Project engineer and operational experience
Knowledge of project management structure, plans, specifications, standards and implications for project accountabilities.
Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve on the spot
High attention to detail
Sound computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office & Bluebeam
