An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Endoscopy nurse for the role of Clinical Co-ordinator. Join us in our vison of providing quality health care services to the Northern Beaches community. Northern Beaches Hospital is a fully licensed private hospital, providing care to public and private patients with a large range of quality services provided by exceptional nurses, doctors and staff. The Interventional Suite accommodates adult & paediatrics patients, for planned & unplanned procedures &/or surgery. It comprises: 14 state-of-the-art operating theatres including a hybrid theatre & a cardiothoracic theatre; 2 Cardiac Catheter Labs; 4 Procedure Rooms; 41 bed Recovery Unit and state of the art Sterilising Services Department. The Endoscopy Procedure rooms are situated within the Interventional Suite and are fully integrated with Olympus technology including Endobase reporting systems. Key responsibilities:

Provide high quality patient care that meets current best practice standards
Assist in the preparation and delivery of Endoscopy procedures, including all required equipment/instrumentation and consumables.
Ensure efficient and effective management of high costs consumables including Prosthesis.
Perform and ensure implementation of disinfecting of all equipment as per Infection prevention and control guidelines (I.e. HICMR).
Participate in the orientation of new staff and ensure all resources are developed, implemented and continuously improved
Mentoring and coaching junior staff.
Develop and or implement new systems/quality improvement projects according to the service needs.
Involve in monthly audits and quality surveillance monitoring
Work closely with line manager, Proceduralist, and staff to ensure delivery of high quality care, efficiency of services and to develop a strong working relationship with these doctors.

An experienced Endoscopy Nurse with a passion for ensuring the best quality of patient care, you will also possess the following skills and attributes:

Current registration as a Nurse with AHPRA
Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
Minimum 3 years' experience in Endoscopy.
Recent experience working in Endoscopy undertaking complex procedures including ERCP, EBUS and EUS procedures.
Knowledge of Legislative requirements and Australian College of Operating Room Nurses (ACORN) standards and GENCA guidelines.
Member of GENCA
Post Graduate qualification or commitment to complete one
Knowledge of Infection prevention and control principles (I.e. HICMR)
Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
Works well independently and within a team
Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
High degree of computer literacy including Endobase.
