Project Description:
The Test Manager is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive test automation and performance strategy for one of the banking customer in Australia. This includes identifying and implementing the best tools and technologies, developing and maintaining frameworks, and leading a team of automation and performance engineers.
The Test Manager although based in a central team, must be able to work closely with developers, platform and product managers, and other stakeholders to understand the requirements and help develop test plans that effectively cover all aspects of the system under test working with the automation testers across various ARTs and Programmes in the bank.

Responsibilities:
• Develop a test automation strategy that aligns with the organization's overall testing objectives. This strategy should identify the types of tests to be automated, the tools and frameworks to be used, and the resources required.
• Identify and prioritize automation opportunities based on risk, cost, and business value. This involves working with stakeholders to understand their needs and to identify the areas where automation can provide the greatest benefit.
• Select and implement automation frameworks and tools that are appropriate for the organization's needs. This involves considering factors such as the types of tests to be automated, the skillset of the team, and the budget.
• Role will directly or indirectly lead a team of automation testers in the development, execution, and maintenance of automated tests. This involves providing mentorship and coaching, setting goals and expectations, and monitoring and reporting on progress.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure that automated tests meet their needs and expectations. This involves communicating regularly with stakeholders, gathering feedback, and adjusting as needed.
• Monitor the effectiveness of the test automation program and report on its progress to stakeholders. This involves tracking metrics such as test coverage, test execution time, and defect detection rate.
• The Test Manager must stay up to date on the latest test automation technologies and best practices. This involves attending conferences, reading industry publications, and networking with other professionals and building the knowledge base and training of the team members through community of practices like Chapters.
• Understand the non-functional requirements (NFRs) from NFR documents, meeting with business and platform owners. Understand business and the infrastructure involved in the project.
• Prepare the Performance Test Strategy and Test Plan.
• Communicate with the business/development team manager regularly through daily/weekly reports.
• Organise the meeting with all the relevant teams (developers/infra etc.) to monitor core applications during the test execution.
Mandatory Skills Description:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in testing and 8+ years of experience in test automation and performance engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in team leadership.
• Test Automation and Performance Testing Frameworks and Strategies
• Proven performance testing experience across multiple platform architectures and technologies such as micro-services, REST APIs is advantageous as is an exposure to project experience moving workloads to cloud environments including (AWS or Azure)
• Experience with automation tools, technologies
• Experience with Agile development methodogies
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous development (CI/CD)
• Experience in working with APM tools like AppDynamics.
