While studying a Certificate III in Health Services Assistance, you will work within in Nursing industry - we have both Full Time and Part Time opportunities.
As a Health Services Assitance Trainee you will use a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge to provide assistance to health professional staff for the care of clients. Health services assistance involves the worker in direct client contact under supervision.
Duties may include but not limited to:
- Providing patient care - diet, excercise, dressing, caring for their daily needs, personal hygiene assistance
- Setting up and maintaining medical equipment
- Monitoring vital signs
- Maintaining patient records
- Communicating with patients and their families
- Simple wound care and infection prevention
Applicants will ideally meet the following criteria:
- Genuine passion for working with people and a commitment to making a positive impact in their lives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to show compassion.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules.
- A willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced professionals.
