HORTICULTURAL FARM WORKERS wanted for a commercial fruit farm in SE QLD- Stanthorpe area & surrounds - 70+ positions.
Job description: Your duties each day may include Performing general labouring duties. Fruit picking, thinning, trainee pruning and grafting etc. Operating towing tractor, engaged in transfer of produce during harvest. Operating hydraulic ladder for the purpose of fruit harvesting and any other orchard practice. Irrigation, weed control. Performing a range of housekeeping tasks and general maintenance on the premises and grounds. Within the packing shed duties may include sorting, packing, or grading of produce and preparation for dispatch. Incidental tasks involved in getting produce to packing shed including packing and assisting in packaging and transport etc. Performing basic recording functions and helping within the scope of this level to other employees as required. Other duties as required. You must be fit and healthy and regularly show up to work on time. This work is very labour intensive, and you will be bending, walking as well as carrying and using picking bags and ladders, tools etc. Working outdoors in all weather conditions. You must be legally allowed to work in Australia. Must have previous employer references. Must be available to work weekends. Must be willing to work as part of a team. You may be subject to random alcohol and drug testing at any time when at work.
