Your new role Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for the implementation, compliance and management of the health, safety and wellness strategy. You will be responsible for promoting employee wellbeing and a safe workplace culture.You will provide advice, coach and support across the organisation and multiple workplace sites. Responsibilities include:
Work toward maintaining compliance with relevant WHS regulation
Conduct WHS auditing and workplace inspections
Oversee the implementation, compliance and management of the WHS system and audit programs
Manage the rehabilitation program and return to work for injured employees
Maintain budget and ensure budget is in line with WHS allocation
Maintain WHS risk register
Co-ordinate the development of a comprehensive WHS training program
Monitor the organisations compliance with legislation standards, codes of practice through the development of a program of safety audits.
Preparing monthly WHS reporting
Preparing policies and procedures
What you'll need to succeed
Qualification in WHS or related field
Extensive knowledge of the WHS act, Workers comp and Injury Managment act 2023, WHS codes of practice,
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of implementing, maintaining and monitoring WHS online systems
Demonstrated experience of how to influence and support the improvement of health and safety
Experience of leading teams
