Located 3 hours north of Melbourne, the Cobram Plant is located on the banks of the Murray River. This location offers a relaxed lifestyle, providing great facilities for employees and their families.
The Cobram Plant specialises in processing sheep and goats and has the ability to handle over 4,000 head per day, operating five days per week. Growing to employ over 350 employees, the Cobram Plant offers excellent career opportunities across many aspects of meat processing.
About the Role
We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to join our Day and Afternoon Shift teams in a full-time capacity. These roles will best suit motivated individuals who are committed to providing an effective and professional service and who seek to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. The annual salary for this position is above $73,150 plus superannuation.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing drawings, plans and diagrams of electrical installations and circuitry;
Assisting Electrical Engineers and Engineering Technologists in design and layout of electrical installations and circuitry on substations, switchgear, cabling systems and motor control systems;
Collecting data, performing tests and complex calculations, graphing results, and preparing charts and tabulations;
Inspecting designs and finished products for compliance with specifications and regulations;
Assembling, installing, testing, calibrating, modifying and repairing electrical equipment and installations to conform with regulations and safety requirements;
Undertaking electrical workshop functions such as installing assemblies for protection relays, metering and indicating devices;
assisting with research and experimentation programs;
Ensuring the availability, reliability and capability of relevant assets;
Monitoring follow-up and addressing issues associated with the implementation and process of planned and unplanned maintenance tasks;
Ensuring the continuous improvement of equipment and systems.
About You
Have an electrical trade qualification and be experienced in maintenance/repair
Previous experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures
Possess a thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices
Be willing to receive a QFever vaccination
